Financial Assistance Programs

The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) in South Dakota has two financial assistance programs available to private landowners who are already working with or enrolled through an existing agency program (local, state, federal).

These include the South Dakota NWTF Hunting Heritage Super Fund and the Northern Plains Riparian Restoration Initiative (NPRRI). The latter focuses solely on riparian habitat, while the Super Fund can be applied to upland and riparian habitat enhancements. The Super Fund can also be used for access related projects.

Both programs require a formal proposal or application submission and are solicited through a request for proposal (RFP) process. Super Fund proposals are solicited twice a year, once in the summer and again in the winter. The NPRRI solicits proposals in the spring each year.
